R-VWP Rotary Lobe (Roots) Vacuum Pumps

The Elmo Rietschle R-VWP series are dry-running rotary lobe (Roots) vacuum pumps for coarse and fine vacuum applications. Two symmetrically shaped rotors rotate against each other without contact, synchronised by a pair of gear wheels — the compression chamber is free of grease or oil, with only the separated gearbox and bearings oil-lubricated. A bypass valve integrated in the housing enables starting together with the backing pump without overloading the motor at high differential pressures. Capacities of 500–2000 m³/h (models 501, 1001, 2001) with an energy-efficient IE3 motor; the pumps tolerate water vapour and most corrosive gases.
