Elmo Rietschle is the inventor of the liquid ring pump, and the L-Series continues this 120-plus-year tradition. These liquid ring vacuum pumps and compressors are built for wet and abrasive processes: an eccentrically mounted impeller rotates in the casing, forming a liquid (water) ring that seals the impeller blades. L-BV2 is a compact monoblock, L-BV5 delivers 90–600 m³/h with vacuum to 33 mbar abs, L-BV7 provides 27–145 m³/h, and L-BL2 is an air-cooled 'pump in a box' self-contained portable unit. The pumps use up to 50% less water, feature a ceramic-coated housing, reinforced stainless-steel shafts, and top-quality bearings, accept liquid carryover and condensation, and are available with ATEX certification. Beyond air, they can handle many gases with a suitable seal liquid.
